David Franklin

Chief Executive Officer

David Franklin joined MedAware as CEO to accelerate the company’s growth and to scale the company as it more aggressively enters the US market. He brings with him decades of entrepreneurial experience building and scaling health tech companies. He found his passion for early-stage growth companies as co-founder and COO of Connance, a healthcare predictive analytics company acquired by Waystar. Franklin also drove commercial success, enterprise profitability and business transformation in prior executive roles at Waystar, Finvi and Atlas Health. He splits his time in the US between Boston and La Jolla.

Gidi Stein, MD, PhD

Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer

Gidi is a practicing physician, researcher and serial entrepreneur. Early in his career, Gidi served as CTO and Chief Architect of several algorithm-rich startup companies in Israel. In 2002, Gidi graduated from Tel Aviv University Medical School and later specialized in internal medicine, treating patients and teaching students and residents in one of Israel’s largest hospitals. Gidi received a PhD in Computational Biology from Tel Aviv University, harnessing mathematical and biological models to help fight breast cancer. In 2012 Gidi co-founded MedAware, utilizing machine learning algorithms to eliminate medication-related risks and promote patient safety.

Diane Smith

Chief Commercial Officer

Diane joined MedAware as the Chief Commercial Officer to drive U.S. market access and adoption, bringing its best-in-class medication safety monitoring platform to U.S. healthcare professionals and key strategic device, payer, and pharmacy OEM partners. Throughout her career, Diane has held various leadership roles within sales, marketing, and operations for healthcare IT/SaaS organizations—most recently successfully launching CenterX (AmerisourceBergen) in the Epic customer market. She has a unique ability to understand the complex "business of healthcare" and competing clinical-financial-quality drivers her customers face daily and thrives on providing creative solutions that move healthcare forward. Diane is passionate about the healthcare tech startup community and is an active advisor at Springboard Enterprises, an accelerator that helps women-led startups get access to funding and leadership guidance.

Andy Wolf

Chief Technology and Product Officer

Andy brings over ten years of startup CTO & CPO experience to MedAware. Andy has built and managed several SaaS platforms and has a passion for user experience as well as building scalable product teams. Most recently, Andy was the CTO of Fortis Life Sciences where he rapidly scaled a multi-site PE rollup through several acquisitions while developing a strategy for technology consolidation and experience with FDA-regulated products. Prior to that, Andy led the product and technology teams at Blueport Commerce, a SaaS ecommerce platform.

Ayelet Steinberg

Chief Financial Officer

Ayelet has over 25 years of experience in the startup industry. She has served as CFO at several startups including Cellebrite (from 8 employees to over 400 employees globally), BRM, Blitz electric motors (from private company to public), as well as CEO of IIA incubator. Ayelet has extensive experience in building and growing top-notch startups with her strategic thinking and business knowledge. Ayelet earned her BA in economics and accounting and MBA as well as CPA in the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (Summa Cum Laude).
